Hey Everyone!!!

We’ve missed a couple of Thursdays together due to some personal matters that needed my immediate attention.  However, I’m back!!!!  This week’s throwbacks are dedicated to all of those persons getting ready to graduate (or who’ve already done so).  Remember those popular songs that would be played at every graduation the year it came out.  Or even worse, the countless renditions of it.  Well, here are three songs that will forever bring back memories of having to so long (or see you next year) to my schoolmates.  Now I ask, what song(s) do you remember belting out at your childhood (or adulthood) commencement ceremonies???

Back to Brooklyn (continued):  Since many of you clearly pointed out that way before the artists that were posted in last week’s throwbacks, there were othe Brooklyn Emcee’s that repped BK hard.  With that being said, here are some “older” school rappers that helped Brookyln find it’s way on the map!

Three Throwbacks for Thursdays #4

This week, I had the pleasure of speaking at my old high school, Boys & Girls High, which is located in the heart of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.  Although, I’ve been returning annualy for the past few years, walking the halls always brings back memories.  This week’s throwbacks are dedicated to Brooklyn, and the artists that help put BK on the map.  Shout out to my cousin B-Lyte (dancer for Special Ed).  Look for her around 1:08 in the blue sweater and yellow turtleneck. LOL!

Last weeks throwbacks dealt with couples who were better apart, than together. This week’s throwbacks is all about groups who are better together, than apart. Nuff said!

Three Throwbacks for Thursday #2

As you can see, I’ve changed Throwback Thursdays to Three Throwbacks for Thursday.  I was inspired by last weeks entry. so, from here on, I will be posting three related videos.  Fell free to chime in and let me know what vids you would have chosen!  Here’s this week’s entry….

I promised myself that I would not comment on the whole Chrihanna situation, just because everyone’ s doing it, and it has gotten quite redundant.  However, in the spirit of coupledome “couple-doom”.  I want to reminisce on the duos’ that made great music together, but somehow just couldn’t seem to get along.  Maybe Chris and Rihanna should take notes from their horror stories, and let it go!

Although I’m not sure if the last duo was ever a couple, they should both be charged with assault for this performance.  Can you remember any other disastrous duets?

Throwback Thursdays #1

First, let me just say thank you to everyone who has been visiting OHMYSPRY.COM!  Although this week was the unofficial, soft launch, you all have shown me so much love!  Thank you for your kind words and support.  Thank you to old friends and new ones!  I hope that we will all grow together, and that through this website, I can encourage and motivate you to follow and accomplish your dreams!

With that being said, the first “Throwback Thursday” was inspired by all the positive energy that I felt from you all.  I’m actually posting 3 videos this time.  The 1st video is dedicated to you, for our seasoned, or newly developed friendships.  The 2nd talks about what I plan to do, and hope that you all will do it with me!  The 3rd is a special thanks to all those who continue to support me in your own unique way.  I hope you all are dancing in your chairs, trying to remember the words and old school moves.  PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT, AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK, AND WHAT “FLY GEAR” YOU WERE “ROCKING” AT THE TIMES WHEN THESE SONGS TOPPED THE CHARTS!
